Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Sr. Large Loss Adjuster for Homeowner Claims, remote nationwide (except HI, AK).

You will own 1st-party property losses with large-damage authority, coordinate investigations across SIU and Subrogation, and work with contractors and attorneys to resolve highly complex claims across states. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of homeowner claims experience, 3+ years in total loss handling, and a HS diploma or BA/BS.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years claims experience with preferred emphasis on Homeowner field claims.
• 3+ years handling Homeowner Total Loss claims.
• High School (HS) or GED.

Responsibilities

• Owns 1st-party property losses with settlement authority up to $250,000 for structural damage.
• Evaluates personal property losses associated with dwelling losses.
• Handles claims up to policy limits for all 1st-party coverages.
• May handle desk claims and provide recommendations to management.
• Collaborates with SIU, Subrogation, and other units as needed to resolve losses.
• Works with insureds, contractors, public adjusters and attorneys to resolve highly complex claims.
• Develops structural repair bids using Xactimate.
• Reads laws across multiple states CSAA IG operates in and adjusts accordingly.
• Assesses building damage and writes rebuild estimates.
• Negotiates with insureds, contractors, engineers and public adjusters to reach costs.
• Consults with outside counsel on complex coverage issues.
• Supports company culture and mentoring as needed.
• Travels for meetings and training; supports business needs beyond the role.
