Qualifications

• 6+ years? dwelling estimating experience preferred.
• Experience handling homeowner property losses of $50,000 or greater.
• Strong claims and business acumen with litigation experience.
• Advanced knowledge of homeowner policy interpretation and coverage analysis.
• Demonstrated Xactimate expertise; Level 3 certification encouraged.
• Ability to work with vendors on damage determination and estimates reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and investigate large loss and high-exposure homeowner claims, including litigation files.
• Verify coverage, interpret policy language, and determine liability and scope of damages.
• Evaluate claim facts and damage estimates to move claims toward timely resolution.
• Apply homeowners policy knowledge and jurisdictional documents to assigned claims.
• Conduct on-site inspections to evaluate damages and loss exposure.
• Negotiate settlements with insureds, attorneys, and public adjusters per company practices.
