Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Landscape Architecture team in Birmingham, Alabama. You will lead the practice, drive business development with local developers and public agencies, and manage diverse regional projects from private to public sectors.

You will mentor staff, manage budgets, and build lasting client relationships while aligning with the firm’s growth strategy and ownership potential.

Qualifications

12+ years experience growing and leading a landscape architecture practice/studio.
PLA/CLA license or ability to obtain in 1 year.
Experience developing relationshipswith extensive client contacts.
Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, developing scopes of work, and creatingbudgets for projected work.
Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.

Responsibilities

Work in a dynamic team environment on a range of projects including private and public development, multifamily, mixed-use, and community planning throughout the region for a wide variety of clients.
Shape your practice and lead the business development efforts with local developers, public agencies and industry contacts.
Build and maintain positive client relationships and communicate openly with partners and team.
Grow the practice with support from a national firm and pursue ownership opportunities.
