Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a senior Landscape Architect to join our multidisciplinary team. You will design built environments, meet clients, authorize site plans, and coordinate with engineers, planners, and designers across multiple office locations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture, 10+ years of experience, professional licensure, and fluency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• 10+ years of job-related experience. Professional license required.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, Bluebeam, Outlook, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and other software in landscape architecture.
• Mathematical skills, planting design, knowledge of irrigation systems, basic civil design, understanding of sustainable design, and knowledge of codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proposal writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Expand a design thinking approach and integration of landscape design with built and non-built environments.
• Maintain working knowledge of process and issues affecting productivity and quality.
• Establish drawing protocols and training related to landscape architectural drafting.
• Meet with the client to determine project parameters and requirements.
• Consult with client to determine functional and spatial requirements and prepare design information including costs and completion time.
• Collaborate with designers and other disciplines to produce preliminary concepts and drawings.
• Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates for land development.
• Compile and analyze data on conditions for environmental reports and landscape plans.
• Plan project layouts and integrate architectural elements for client review.
• Administer construction contracts and conduct on-site observation to monitor plan compliance.
• Conduct project closeout and quality measurement investigations.
