Job summary

Terrain Workshop is seeking a Landscape Architect/Designer to lead residential landscape projects from concept through construction completion. You will blend creative design with hands-on project management, owning the process from initial development to field execution.

Responsibilities include design, documentation, client coordination, budgeting, and site visits. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, strong CAD/SketchUp skills, and a track record of delivering projects on time and

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in landscape design and/or landscape architecture project management.
Strong understanding of landscape construction methods and sequencing.
Proficiency in CAD and SketchUp and ability to produce construction-ready drawings.
Organized, proactive, and comfortable owning projects end-to-end.
Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and documentation of buildable landscape plans from concept to construction.
Coordinate with clients, field teams, and subcontractors to align on design intent.
Build estimates, budgets, and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
Support site visits, detailing, and problem-solving with construction superintendents.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget while maintaining design integrity.
