Job summary

The State of Hawai'i Department of Accounting & General Services seeks Landscape Architects at IV and V levels to independently create landscaping plans for public facilities, parks, and erosion control projects across Hawaii. Licensing as a Hawaii Landscape Architect is required for the V level.

Positions are permanent and full-time, with duties including development of master plans, coordination with related disciplines, and adherence to statewide standards.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or a closely related field.
• Two (2) years for Landscape Architect IV and three (3) years for Landscape Architect V of progressively responsible professional landscape architectural work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop master landscape development plans and standards for state facilities and parks.
• Prepare professional landscaping plans, specifications, estimates and designs for public buildings, parks and recreation areas.
• Coordinate and review landscape plans with architectural, engineering and landscaping designs for conformance with standards.
• Supervise or provide supervisory aptitude for landscape projects and contract-related reviews.
