Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Experienced Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA) to lead high-impact projects in Raleigh, NC. You will mentor designers, shape design strategy, and build strong client relationships while guiding projects from concept through construction.

The role emphasizes leadership, design excellence, and collaboration across planners, engineers, and architects, with a focus on parks, commercial developments, and master-planned communities.

Qualifications

  • Professional Landscape Architect License (PLA/RLA).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • 8+ years of progressive landscape architecture experience.
  • Experience leading projects involving parks, commercial developments, mixed-use projects, or master-planned communities.
  • Strong understanding of site planning, permitting, entitlement, and land development processes.
  • Proven success managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing design professionals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design excellence and project leadership across multiple phases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead landscape architecture projects through planning, design, documentation, permitting, and construction.
  • Manage project teams while balancing scope, quality, budget, schedule, and client expectations.
  • Develop innovative, practical, and sustainable design solutions across a variety of project types.

What You'll Do

As a key leader within the practice, you'll contribute to both project success and team development by:

  • Leading landscape architecture projects through planning, design, documentation, permitting, and construction.
  • Managing project teams while balancing scope, quality, budget, schedule, and client expectations.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Professional Landscape Architect License (PLA/RLA).

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
