The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) protects public health and the environment by supplying clean drinking water, collecting and treating wastewater, and reducing air, noise, and hazardous materials pollution. DEP is the largest combined municipal water and wastewater utility in the country, with nearly 6,000 employees. The Bureau implements sustainable planning and policy measures, coordinating with agencies and stakeholders, utilizing scientific and engineering knowledge, and complying with regulatory requirements. We are seeking to hire a Senior Landscape Architect to manage on-site parks green infrastructure (GI) and ecological restoration projects as part of the DEP’s Green Infrastructure Program. This program includes the initiation, design, and construction of green infrastructure projects in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR). The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of on-site green infrastructure projects to increase stormwater capture, enhance ecological function, and improve water quality in receiving waterbodies. They will also handle administrative functions to ensure the efficient operation of the DPR on-site green infrastructure and ecological restoration projects.
