Job description

Join to apply for the Senior Landscape Architect role at City of Kansas City, MO.

Full-time position available with the Parks and Recreation Department, Planning and Engineering Division, located at 4600 E 63rd St.

Salary Range: $5,794-$8,833/month

Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
  • Manages multiple projects related to park development, project management, and/or repairs and improvements for parks, aquatic facilities, trails, playgrounds, athletic fields, and parks jurisdictional streets.
  • Ensures all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Develops project scope and estimate; manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs.
  • Reports and escalates to management as needed.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
  • Manages grant projects.
  • Interacts with the public via public meetings.
  • Designs or hires design consultant teams; bids and provides project oversight during construction.
  • Uses AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or horticulture and 3 years of responsible experience in the practices of landscape architecture, horticulture or related.
