Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a related field or equivalent training/experience.
• Valid State of Georgia Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Background investigation required before starting.
• Pre-employment urinalysis and physical tests required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Operates wheel loader, yard jockey truck, and trailer to process incoming waste for out-of-county hauling.
• Operates excavator, wheel loader, bulldozer, and compactor to process inert waste.
• Maintains landfill grounds with zero-turn mower and farm tractor.
• Operates weed eaters, hand blowers, edgers, and related equipment for site upkeep.
• Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Conducts litter control duties and assists customers as needed.
• Participates in City Emergency Response Team when required.
