Atwell, LLC is seeking a Senior Land Planner to lead planning, layout, grading, and landscape architecture across diverse sites. You will work with a team to deliver innovative designs while ensuring compliance with zoning and environmental guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a 10+ year track record in land planning, strong Maryland entitlement knowledge, and proven leadership. This role emphasizes collaboration with clients and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Licensed professional with 10+ years of experience in land planning and development.
• Strong knowledge of the Maryland entitlement process (Prince George’s & Montgomery County preferred).
• Demonstrated team and project leadership experience.
• Expertise in site design, grading, and drainage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Site Layout and Design: Develop innovative site layouts that maximize functionality while adhering to zoning laws and environmental considerations.
• Grading Plans: Create and review grading plans to optimize site drainage and prepare for construction, ensuring feasibility and efficiency.
• Landscape Architecture: Collaborate on landscape design elements, integrating aesthetic and ecological considerations into project plans.
• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, presenting design concepts and addressing feedback.
• Analytical and Critical Thinking: Utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to identify potential challenges and develop effective solutions throughout the planning process.
• Research and Compliance: Stay informed about local regulations, environmental policies, and industry trends to ensure project compliance and innovation.
