Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Civil Designer to support site layout and grading for residential and commercial land development projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required, with 4–10 years of civil design experience preferred, including review of ALTA surveys and easement documents.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Maryland Eastern Shore experience is a plus, and a High School Diploma with drafting training is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical certificate or associate degree in drafting or engineering technology preferred.
• 4–10 years civil design experience in residential/commercial/industrial land development required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
• Experience with Maryland’s Eastern Shore projects is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices, standards, and procedures.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments aligned with Atwell standards.
• Produce civil drawings including site layout, grading, storm sewer, and utility plans.
• Review survey data and easement/ALTA documents for project feasibility.
• Edit and revise plans based on comments from municipalities, agencies, and clients.
• Communicate with Project Managers on workflow status to support schedule goals.
