Core States Group is seeking an experienced Senior Planner (Land Development) to drive strategy, planning, and execution of private land development projects and to lead a team. This role offers a hybrid work setup with opportunities to work from multiple offices and remote Idaho arrangements.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of seven years in land development, strong project management and leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage client relationships across sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban or regional planning or closely related field; seven+ years of land development experience; proficient knowledge of project management processes and land development principles; proven track record leading high-performing teams; ability to manage diverse workloads and meet deadlines; strong written and verbal communication; experience across multiple sectors (commercial, industrial, residential, energy).

Responsabilités

• Oversee programs: contracts, scheduling, project assignment, performance tracking, mentorship, client liaison.
• Lead complex land development projects with senior-level expertise in site planning, due diligence, entitlements, and permitting.
• Research regulatory standards and coordinate with clients to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with project team to develop site plans meeting client objectives.
• Prepare due diligence reports, environmental checklists, and project narratives.
• Manage subconsultants and prepare comprehensive applications for entitlements.
• Coordinate timely responses to comments and advocate for project approvals.
• Represent client at meetings and hearings to support approvals.
• Oversee staff processing of ministerial construction permit applications.
• Collaborate on process improvements and document management practices.
• Review invoicing with accounting and coordinate staffing with Director of Planning Services.
