Job summary

M/I Homes, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering/Construction Management professional to join its Land Development team in Fort Myers. You will assist with due diligence, budgeting, scheduling (MS Project), and coordinating utilities and site design for residential projects.

Responsibilities include bid analysis, contractor buyout, pre-construction meetings, and maintaining detailed project schedules. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in land development are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in land development or equivalent.
• Familiarity with the homebuilding market.

Responsibilities

• Develop land acquisition feasibility studies and budgets.
• Verify utilities and access costs for projects.
• Review design documents and plats for coordination.
• Prepare bid forms and solicit bids from contractors.
• Conduct bid analyses and contractor selections.
• Manage pre-construction meetings with municipalities and contractors.
• Create detailed project schedules (MS Project).
• Lead weekly on-site meetings and monitor progress.
• Manage land development budgets and cash flows; approve pay apps.
• Coordinate activation of water/sewer systems and permits.
