Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking a Land Development Project Manager in Fort Myers, FL to support due diligence, budgeting, and scheduling for residential projects. You will review design documents, coordinate with utilities, and manage buyouts and contractor selections to keep milestones on track.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and at least 5 years in land development, with strong budget-management and MS Office/MS Project skills; willingness to travel and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in land development or equivalent.
• Familiarity with the homebuilding market preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in land development feasibility studies and budgets.
• Verifies utilities availability and connection costs.
• Prepares bid forms and conducts bid analysis and contractor selection.
• Develops detailed critical-path project schedules (MS Project).
• Initiates buyout/contracting and pre-construction meetings with municipalities and contractors.
• Communicates lot delivery dates for long-range planning.
