Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) is seeking a Senior Land Development Project Manager to join our I-64 Team in Virginia.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary group, guiding site/civil engineering efforts for a variety of projects, from industrial to residential, while maintaining strong client relations. You will oversee project scope, schedule, and budgets, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development as part of a dynamic, hybrid work environment with a culture of growth and

Qualifications

• 11+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects.
• BS in Civil Engineering or related degree.
• PE licensure in Virginia or obtain within 12 months.
• Proficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management.
• Experience in developing and compiling site plans, construction documents, specification, and engineering reports.
• Experience in leading and developing project teams for successful project delivery and employee growth.
• Understanding of I-64 and Virginia market.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering project managers, engineering staff, and CAD operators to meet high performance standards for quality plans, superior financial performance, and employee growth.
• Develop and/or support development of site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of projects, including large-scale industrial developments, biotech, institutional, healthcare and residential.
• Responsible for project financial performance and client relations.
• Prepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the systems designed.
• Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues with them.
• Supervise design team activities.
• Manage work and development of junior-level staff.
• Manage small, medium and/or large projects.
• Develop new project opportunities and manage proposal submissions.
