Senior Land Development Project Leader

Job summary

Talisman, a well-established design and engineering firm in Los Angeles, seeks a Project Manager to lead commercial and residential land development from concept through completion. This client-facing leadership role has full ownership of delivery, budgets, and team performance, and mentors junior engineers.

You will act as the primary contact for clients, run the project schedule end to end, and coordinate internal design staff and external consultants to produce permit-ready construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred.
• 7+ years of land development experience.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own each project start to finish, from planning and scheduling through delivery.
• Coordinate design and production of construction documents across internal teams.
• Plan and manage every project phase, keeping work on schedule and on budget.
• Provide construction-phase support, including site visits and shop drawing review.
• Serve as the main contact for clients, their consultants, and representatives.
• Build and manage the consultant team: define scope, set fees, select partners, and manage contracts.
• Coordinate all trades into a fully aligned set of documents and specifications for permitting and construction.
• Conduct code research and analysis at local, county, state, and federal levels.
• Take responsibility for the financial performance of your projects.
• Communicate clearly with clients, brokers, contractors, consultants, and colleagues.
