Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking an experienced civil engineer to design site and civil plans for land development projects in Florida. You will manage design teams from concept to construction and ensure timely, compliant deliverables.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in civil engineering with land development focus, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project, and ArcGIS. PE licensure in Florida or the ability to obtain within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Strong knowledge of site layout, grading, stormwater, and utilities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, and ArcGIS
• Experience with LEED, Envision, or other sustainability frameworks is a bonus
• PE licence in Florida, or ability to get it within six months

Responsibilities

• Design site and civil plans for land development projects
• Manage design teams and oversee projects from concept through construction
• Prepare and review drawings, technical documents, and permit packages
• Lead client communication and manage budgets and timelines
• Attend meetings with clients, agencies, and stakeholders
• Support and mentor junior engineers
• Contribute to proposals and business development efforts
