Thomas Engineering Group LLC in Tampa, FL is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing team. You'll work on land development and infrastructure projects from concept through construction, collaborating with clients, municipalities, and multidisciplinary teams across South Florida.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
E.I. certification or P.E. license preferred.
Experience in land development and site design.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop.
Experience with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software.
Strong knowledge of stormwater management, utility design, grading, and permitting.
Excellent communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Perform zoning reviews evaluating municipal regulations for feasibility.
Conduct site investigations including utility research and site visits.
Prepare conceptual site plans based on client objectives.
Design stormwater systems using AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology software.
Perform hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing analyses.
Develop grading plans to optimize earthwork and drainage.
Design utilities including stormwater, sanitary sewer, water distribution.
Identify and resolve horizontal and vertical utility conflicts.
Prepare erosion and sediment control plans using BMPs.
Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
Develop construction cost estimates.
Coordinate with clients, attorneys, contractors and municipalities from concept to permitting.
