Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Land Development in Raleigh, NC. The role leads land development projects, overseeing plans and specifications for infrastructure and utilities, while serving as the main client contact through the project lifecycle.

You will supervise engineers and CAD staff, guiding them to deliver on schedule and budget, and ensuring compliance for municipal projects. Strong communication and a PE license in NC are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in North Carolina.
• 6-10+ years of experience in land development (residential, multi-family, commercial).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead land development projects and oversee plans and specifications for paving, grading, drainage, water lines, sanitary sewers, and more.
• Serve as primary client contact, ensuring excellent service and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervise engineers and CAD technicians, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Manage project reporting, timelines, and invoicing to clients, ensuring alignment with budgets and schedules.
• Manage projects for cities, counties, and municipalities, ensuring regulatory compliance.
