Job Title: Senior Land Development Manager

Location: Kansas City Metro

About the Role:

A growing residential developer and homebuilder in the Kansas City area is seeking a Senior Land Development Manager to oversee and support the entitlement and improvement processes across upcoming residential communities. This individual will serve as a critical liaison between municipal agencies, developers, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and align with operational and sales timelines.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive communicator with experience navigating land use approvals and managing residential infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams and external developer partners to understand and track all subdivision and site development approval requirements
• Monitor land development schedules to align with targeted sales release dates and lot availability
• Identify delays or obstacles early and develop proactive solutions to keep projects on track
• Participate in feasibility and due diligence for new community acquisitions
• Maintain status updates and milestone tracking for each active and upcoming community
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and municipal staff to resolve permitting or zoning issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; preference for degrees in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related fields
• 4+ years of experience in land development, with a focus on residential communities
• Familiarity with entitlements, permitting processes, site development, and working with municipalities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
