Job summary

Urban Ltd is seeking Land Development Senior Project Engineers with 4-7 years of experience to work in our Annandale or Chantilly offices. This in-office role focuses on land development design, site/roadway layout, and preparation of construction plans for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects. Ideal candidates hold a B.S.

in Civil Engineering, with EIT preferred, and strong CAD/Civil 3D skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• EIT certificate preferred.
• Experience designing, preparing, and processing land development applications.
• Experience in Northern Virginia jurisdictions.
• Experience with Commercial, Residential, and Mixed-use projects.
• Ability to design based on civil engineering concepts and locality requirements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience preparing full sets of construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Draft CAD drawings and details for site and subdivision plans.
• Site layout and utility design.
• Horizontal and vertical design of roadways.
• Preparation of erosion and sediment control plans.
• Generating hydrologic computations for SWM facilities.
• Performing pavement design computations.
• Performing site distance analysis.
• Preparing site work quantity take-offs.
• Coordination with internal and external engineers, architects, etc.
