Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Senior Land Design Engineer to join our southeast engineering team. The role involves civil design, plan production, and coordination with multidisciplinary staff across Raleigh, Atlanta, and Charlotte areas.

The ideal candidate will bring 3-8+ years of civil engineering experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and MS Office. This is a hybrid office role with regional opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently and with a team.
• 3-8+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Computer skills: AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering designs and generate plans, specifications, calculations, exhibits and reports.
• Perform site scoping visits and coordinate with survey crews, SUE, Geotech, etc.
• Coordinate with Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineers.
• Support clients by addressing constructability and regulatory challenges.
• Assist with municipal and state permitting processes.
