Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Sr. Land Agent in the Development Services Contract Management Division to coordinate land management for developer-led capital projects, including easements and rights of way.

The role requires negotiating terms, interfacing with the City Attorney and other departments, and leading staff to ensure timely project delivery while upholding city policies and laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, real estate, urban planning or a related field.
• Four years of experience in real estate transactions, title examination, or real estate funding.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Notary Public Certificate within six months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee acquisition of property interests in easements or rights of way for capital projects.
• Coordinate with staff and City Attorney on real estate agreements and serve as liaison with City Departments.
• Meet with project consultants, developers, residents and stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely completion.
• Review and negotiate real estate documents and confirm signature authority.
• Lead and train subordinate professional and administrative staff.
