Frisco Medical Center Llp seeks a Certified Lactation Consultant to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate lactation care for mothers within a multidisciplinary team. You will work with the Women’s Center to create feeding plans for normal newborns, preterm infants, and complex cases to resolve breastfeeding problems.

Responsibilities include charting, staff education, and developing future lactation services.

Qualifications

• IBCLC credential or included in education plan.
• Minimum of 5 yrs experience in Women’s Services.
• Minimum of 3 yrs experience in Lactation Services (recommended).
• NRP
• BLS
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledgeable JCAHO rules, regulations and standards
• Ability to make independent sound nursing decisions
• Demonstrates competence in customer/patient focus and adaptability

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate lactation care for mothers.
• Collaborate with Women’s Center team to develop feeding plans for newborns.
• Develop staff education and orientation for lactation services.
• Develop and maintain breastfeeding rentals and product sales. Maintain statistics to assess service effectiveness.
