Job summary

Technical-Link N. America seeks a Principal Manufacturing Test Engineer to define and drive the test strategy across a product line, from prototype builds to high-volume manufacturing.

You will own the test architecture, set standards, and build scalable capabilities for the test floor. This senior role demands 10+ years designing and scaling manufacturing test systems (HIL, inline functional, parametric data).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing test engineering for electromechanical or robotic products
• Experience owning manufacturing test strategy from concept through volume production
• Hands-on experience developing in-line and end-of-line test systems
• Proficiency in LabVIEW, NI TestStand, Python-based test automation, and instrumentation specs
• Experience architecting test data pipelines for dashboards and analytics

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end manufacturing test strategy across prototype to volume production
• Influence product architecture and perform design-for-test considerations
• Establish test frameworks, standards, and readiness criteria for production
• Align validation & verification requirements with production test capability
• Architect test data strategy for dashboards and real-time visibility
• Scale test systems from single-station to multi-station, operator-run
• Design operator-friendly test setups with intuitive UIs and clear pass/fail indicators
• Specify and procure test instrumentation and fixtures, make build-vs-buy decisions
• Scale solutions across lines and sites with modular test cells
• Analyze test data to drive quality improvements and feed design feedback
• Mentor engineers and raise the test engineering capability
