Job summary

Stratolaunch, based near Mojave, CA, seeks a Senior Environmental Test Systems Engineer (LabVIEW) to lead environmental and functional testing for hypersonic vehicle programs. You will plan, execute, and validate tests on avionics and flight-related systems with travel to test sites as needed.

The role emphasizes test planning, failure analysis, and instrument design, with DoD clearance and strong communication skills expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, software, avionics or launch-vehicle integration.
• Understanding of environmental tests at component level.
• Experience with electrical/ mechanical schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create environmental test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Execute environmental tests onsite and offsite.
• Coordinate and travel to test houses as needed.
• Perform failure analysis and recovery planning for test issues.
• Operate and maintain environmental test equipment (vibration tables, thermal chambers).
• Design and support environmental test instrumentation systems.
• Support testing operations of existing instrumentation systems.
