Job summary

Stratolaunch seeks a Sr. Engineering Technician with specialized EMI/EMC experience to support design, integration, testing, and maintenance of hypersonic aircraft electrical and avionics systems.

You will operate EMI/EMC test equipment, perform radiated and conducted emissions and immunity testing, and contribute to pre- and full-compliance testing for certification. On-site in Mojave, CA with travel <5%.

Qualifications

• Experience with EMI/EMC testing per MIL-STD-461, FCC, CISPR, IEC 61000.
• Ability to create wiring diagrams, drawings, and shop instructions.
• CAD proficiency for shop definitions and aircraft subsystems.
• Hands-on experience with aircraft electrical systems and integration.
• Ability to communicate technical challenges to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Operate EMI/EMC test equipment (spectrum analyzers, antennas, LISNs, signal generators).
• Conduct radiated and conducted emissions and immunity testing per standards.
• Execute pre-compliance and full compliance EMI/EMC testing for product development and certification.
• Support environmental tests (thermal, vibration, shock).
• Document and analyze test results; prepare reports and corrective actions.
• Act as liaison to troubleshoot electrical/avionics EMI/EMC issues.
• Design, manufacture, and operate electrical ground support equipment and test setups.
• Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions for installations.
