The University of Kentucky is seeking a Lab Technician Senior affiliated with the Cardiovascular Research Center to support a large research group and advance blood-disease experiments. You will perform in vitro and in vivo work, manage daily lab activities, and contribute to data collection and analysis.

Daily duties include organizing experiments, training students, maintaining equipment, and reviewing protocols to ensure accurate results while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Basic lab skills including pipetting.
• Basic computer skills (MS Windows, Excel).
• Laboratory animal handling skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform in vitro and in vivo experiments related to blood diseases.
• Record data and analyze results; communicate with the group.
• Oversee students’ work and maintain lab glassware and equipment.
• Review manuals, protocols, and techniques; make minor modifications as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and handling of laboratory animals.
