Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversees operational, technical and staff activities for their section and schedules staff.
• Develops and coordinates activities to promote high-quality laboratory processing.
• Consults and collaborates with health care team members.
• Performs lab procedures requiring independent judgment within scope.
• Reviews policies and procedures and manages workload.
• Coordinates and monitors equipment for compliance and maintenance.
• Responsible for staff recruitment, orientation, training and development.
• Evaluates new testing procedures and reports to leadership.
• Serves as a resource for staff and participates in quality improvement.
• Addresses client and patient needs and solicits feedback to improve service.
