Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology with ASCP certification required.
• ASCP certification required or equivalent credential.
• Master's degree in Business or Health Sciences preferred.
• Five to seven years of Medical Technologist experience with supervisory/management background.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of laboratory sections, staffing, and supervision of technologists and clerical staff.
• Manages operating budget and reports variances to Medical Director.
• Ensures appropriateness of test requests and reviews results with medical staff.
• Oversees quality control and assurance for all laboratory disciplines; maintains service continuity and quality.
• Maintains inventory controls and adequate supplies within budget parameters.
• Provides training for residents, students, housestaff, fellows, and technologists.
