Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences; 4 years of clinical laboratory experience required.
• Certification with ASCP or AMT as Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist upon hire required.
• Comparable education/experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates all clinical laboratory operations during the assigned shift.
• Ensures compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and hospital policies.
• Monitors quality control, instrument performance, and testing accuracy; troubleshoots issues as they arise.
• Serves as primary laboratory contact for physicians, nursing staff, and other departments during the shift.
• Completes shift reports, documents incidents, and communicates updates to management.
