Job summary

BioMarin in Novato seeks a Laboratory Move Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute complex lab relocations for high-value equipment. You will interface with MEPT trades and ensure minimal disruption to research activities while maintaining safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

The role requires 8–10 years in PM or laboratory operations, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and PM experience with regulated environments; hybrids and move planning are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Project Management certification preferred.
• Experience managing complex laboratory relocations in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Move Planning & Strategy: Define scope, timeline, milestones and critical path for relocation.
• Coordination & Communication: Liaise with lab teams, PM teams, equipment owners, and facilities.
• Meetings & Status: Lead regular project meetings and track progress.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure safety, regulatory permits, and QA standards.
• Logistics & Execution: Oversee on-site moving, sequencing, and vendor coordination.
• Post-Move Activities: Recalibration, testing, and qualification with OEMs and vendors.
