Job summary

Atlas seeks a Senior Laboratory Manager to lead testing operations at the Lakewood office. You will supervise staff, oversee asphalt, soil, aggregate and concrete testing programs, develop mix designs, and maintain AMRL/CCRL accreditations while ensuring safety and quality.

You’ll coordinate client needs, write reports, and partner with the Area Manager and Quality Manager to drive continuous improvement. A BS in civil/geotechnical disciplines is preferred; five-plus years of leadership in

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in construction materials testing or geotechnical fields
• Minimum 5+ years staff management experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, CDOT codes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily
• Willingness to obtain LABCAT Levels A/B/C/E and ACI certifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily staff and oversee laboratory testing services
• Develop asphalt, soil, aggregate and concrete testing schedules and mix designs
• Write client reports and communicate with clients
• Troubleshoot field and lab testing issues
• Coordinate personnel and equipment based on project needs
• Maintain AMRL and CCRL accreditations
• Enforce safety and quality with PPE and procedures
• Collaborate with Area Manager and Quality Manager on deficiencies and improvements
