HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Laboratory Planner in New York to coordinate all aspects of laboratory planning and design on complex projects. You will lead project planning efforts, collaborate with clients and design teams, and present technical information at conferences.

The role emphasizes translating client needs into laboratory concepts, coordinating with architects and engineers, and mentoring junior planners while upholding HDR’s employee-owned culture and commitment to community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field.
• At least 12 years related experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools in construction.
• Understanding of design techniques and producing precise plans.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Takes responsibility for coordinating all aspects of Laboratory Planning and Design on projects.
• Lead the planning effort of a project team and with the client.
• Present planning and programming information to client and design teams, author papers, and present at conferences.
• Develops laboratory concepts aligned with architectural and engineering designs.
• Mentor and coordinate team members and collaborate with stakeholders.
