Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator to direct and coordinate staff performing chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to support diagnosis and treatment. The role oversees tests across microbiology, chemistry, histology, hematology, immunohematology and serology, with a focus on strong supervisory experience and certification requirements.

Qualifications include MLT/MLS credentials and a minimum of five years as a technologist, with GDHR certification.

Qualifications

• What qualifications you will need:
• MLT-State Medical Lab Technician or MLS Medical Laboratory Scientist
• Minimum of 5 years as a technologist. Previous laboratory supervisory experience preferred.
• Technologist Certification as defined by GDHR.

• Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in performing chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
• Oversees performance of tests in fields of microbiology, chemistry, histology, hematology, Immunohematology and serology.
