Job summary

Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI, is seeking a clinical phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy, collect and process specimens, and assist in laboratory activities. You will help prepare laboratory specimens and maintain data accuracy in a safe, professional setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of laboratory experience preferred, and AMT/ASCP certification or eligibility within 12 months. BLS may be required, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Job Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens. Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment. Expected to train and onboard new employees.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required.

One year of laboratory related experience preferred.

National phlebotomy certification through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is required or registry eligible to take exam within 12 months of hire. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
