Job description

Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff, receiving/accessioning and/or processing specimens according to laboratory procedures. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.

Required Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Coursework/Training successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college, military program, employer, or an equivalent training program.
  • Upon hire:
    • Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification – or – Washington Medical Assistant Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior phlebotomy experience
