Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES is seeking a Labor Relations Specialist with expertise in education and public sector labor law. The role involves negotiating collective bargaining agreements and representing management in grievances and disciplinary matters for participating school districts.

The position reports to the Director of Personnel Relations and requires independent judgment in confidential matters. Starting salary is $95,000 with full benefits and PSLF eligibility.

Qualifications

• Admission to the Bar of New York or a graduate degree with related labor relations focus.
• Experience in public sector labor law, mediation, arbitration, or collective bargaining.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to interpret contracts and court rulings.

Responsabilités

• Lead as Chief Negotiator in collective bargaining negotiations.
• Represent management in mediation, PERB proceedings, and grievances.
• Provide advisory support on contract administration and personnel practices.
• Develop and deliver labor relations workshops for administrators and school boards.
