Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Labor Relations professional to lead market engagement strategies, coach leadership on labor relations, and align activities with the company’s values. You will analyze partner data to identify trends, build partnerships with union representatives, and advise on risk mitigation across retail, manufacturing, and distribution teams.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of labor and human resources related laws and regulations, including the NLRA, Title VII, ADA, ADAA, ADEA, FMLA, and state/local laws and ordinances
  • 3–7 years of experience in Labor Relations, Human Resources, and/or Employee Relations
  • Demonstrated experience building collaborative and trusting partnerships with union counterparts
  • Experience integrating labor relations practices into business operations
  • Sound understanding of employee relations practices
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid technical business writing skills
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience solving complex opportunities
  • Experience facilitating training courses and leading meetings
  • Proficiency with technology and case management systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and project management systems
  • Ability to be based in upstate New York, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, or Rhode Island
