Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions, partnering with a leading law firm, seeks a mid-level to senior Labor & Employment Litigation Associate with 4–5 years of experience to join a growing practice in Memphis.

You will handle sophisticated employment litigation matters, work directly with clients, and take significant ownership of cases from inception through resolution. The role offers meaningful responsibility, collaboration with a respected team, and a clear path for professional development.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of labor & employment litigation experience or a blend of L&E and other relevant sophisticated litigation experience.
• Strong background in handling discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, and/or wrongful termination matters.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience taking depositions and managing discovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support all phases of labor & employment litigation, including pre-litigation counseling through trial and resolution
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions (including dispositive motions), and discovery requests
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex employment law issues
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts
• Manage discovery, including document review, production, and strategy
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitration, and trial
• Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy and risk assessment
• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
