Job summary

CommonSpirit Health’s St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery to provide high-quality obstetric care.

The role involves thorough maternal-fetal assessments, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team, and delivering skilled procedures in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates hold a CA RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications, circulating cesarean delivery experience, and a commitment to patient safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• Current CA RN license, BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications.
• Circulating for cesarean delivery experience required.
• Certification in fetal monitoring within 1 year of employment.
• Lactation support education within 1 year of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum nursing care with maternal-fetal assessments.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and manage obstetric emergencies as needed.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, epidural care, blood sampling, and point-of-care testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure SBAR handoffs, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies while promoting patient safety and quality care.
