Job summary

Eurofins Scientific, a global leader in life sciences, is seeking a Technologist II to lead and mentor the department under lab management. You will act as a subject matter expert, prioritize work, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with auditors and staff.

The role emphasizes technical excellence, training, and continuous process improvement within a dynamic team environment in Colorado. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and state licensing where required are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution
• State license to perform clinical laboratory testing if required by the state
• Must meet Technologist II criteria and have knowledge of applicable department practices and regulations
• Ability to instruct subordinates and delegate tasks
• Strong communication skills and analytical thinking

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for technologist and department management
• Provide leadership in the department as an acting mentor and role model
• Act as department-related subject matter expert
• Establish priorities in work and assign activities to staff
• Direct internal proficiency/competency programs according to regulatory standards
• Communicate problems to supervisor and provide input on performance for reviews
• Oversee laboratory operations including inventory, ordering, and work area maintenance
• Interface with auditors and train staff as needed
• Support process improvements and personnel management
