Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• State license to perform clinical laboratory testing if required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests in laboratory specialties following prescribed procedures and calculate results as needed.
• Operate, calibrate, perform checks, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment.
• Recognize and correct basic analyzer malfunctions and notify management as appropriate.
• Prepare reagents or media per prescribed procedures and evaluate them according to criteria.
• Conduct quality control procedures on tests, equipment, reagents, and products; implement corrective actions.
• Interface with internal and external customers including physicians and executives.
