Job summary

Henkel’s Adhesive Technologies group in Rocky Hill seeks a senior laboratory leader to drive testing across multiple technologies and end markets. You will develop people, methods and infrastructure while managing CAPEX to maximize value and capability.

You will coordinate with global Henkel labs, ensure SHE compliance, and champion automation and digital records to deliver high-quality data for simulation and product development. This onsite role requires five days in the Rocky Hill office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience leading technical professionals and managing laboratory operations.
• Strong knowledge of adhesive or materials testing, lab equipment, test-method development and technical problem solving; knowledge of FEA testing/reporting.
• Experience managing CAPEX and project budgets, including prioritization of equipment investments.
• Working knowledge of corporate SHE expectations, structured safety processes, 5S and quality-management systems; ISO 17025/9001 is valuable.
• Understanding of automation/digitalization requirements while maintaining dependable lab service.
• Strong stakeholder communication across functions, SBUs, countries and external interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers, technicians and temporary employees to deliver high-quality adhesive testing.
• Provide expert testing guidance to internal and external customers.
• Manage state-of-the-art laboratory capability through development of people, methods, equipment and infrastructure.
• Own CAPEX projects and develop an equipment technology plan.
• Coordinate capabilities across Henkel laboratories and collaborate globally.
• Ensure compliance with SHE and ISO 17025/9001.
