Job summary

KA Recruiting Inc. seeks an experienced Laboratory Manager in California to lead multiple laboratories and a high-performing team dedicated to accurate patient testing and diagnostics.

The role involves supervising 30–50 staff, interpreting test results, providing technical guidance to partner hospitals, and ensuring strict regulatory compliance. A strong leadership history and relevant CLS/SBB certifications are required.

Qualifications

• California State License as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist.
• ASCP Certification as a CLS/MT or SBB (Specialist in Blood Bank).
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Extensive blood banking experience in a hospital or reference laboratory setting.
• Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple supervisors and a team of approximately 30-50.
• Review and interpret test results with accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide consultation and technical guidance to partner hospitals and laboratory teams.
• Ensure full compliance with state, local, and federal regulatory standards.
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety, precision, and continuous improvement.
