Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Mountain View, CA seeks an experienced Manager of Critical Environment Management to lead a portfolio of mission-critical R&D labs and a dedicated facilities team. You will ensure continuous operation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems while guiding incident response and continuous improvement.

You will mentor CEMs, manage budgets, and collaborate with leadership to align infrastructure with research activities, compliance, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years in critical facilities operations and management.
• 2–4+ years in direct people management or team leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Deep knowledge of critical MEP systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, fire/life safety).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Critical Environment Managers (CEMs).
• Define training standards and workload distribution across portfolio.
• Serve as subject matter expert for lab MEP infrastructure and 24/7 system reliability.
• Drive compliance, documentation, and standardized SOPs across facilities.
• Assist in budgeting and strategic planning for OpEx and CapEx.
