Advocate Health's Wake Forest University Animal Resources Program is seeking a Senior Laboratory Animal Technician to oversee daily operations and coordinate with the Operations Manager to ensure compliance with federal regulations and animal care guidelines.

The role involves supervising staff, interviewing applicants, coaching team members, and ensuring facility standards meet AAALAC and regulatory requirements. Weekend/holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years LAT or equivalent experience, or AALAS certification is required.
• AALAS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the Wake Forest Animal Resources Program facilities.
• Supervise and schedule Laboratory Animal Technicians and prioritize work.
• Interview applicants and assist with employee selection.
• Provide coaching to animal technicians to maintain performance.
• Monitor facilities for compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
