Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 6+ years experience in a related role; certifications may be required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or animal care settings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine animal husbandry and welfare duties as directed.
• Observe and report status of animal health, food and water consumption, appearance, behavior.
• Provide support in basic veterinary medical treatment as prescribed by the veterinary staff.
• Support cage wash equipment operations and maintenance.
• Provide specialty technical services (dose administration, blood collection, tissue collection, preparation, vascular access port maintenance, surgery, data collection, record keeping) in WRD studies.
• Work with all species housed at the site.
• Assist the facility manager and other technical leads in procedures updates.
• Train CM personnel in techniques, SOPs, regulatory guidelines and general duties.
• Lead by example to master SOPs and Pfizer policies.
