We are seeking an experienced L2/L3 Network Technical Support Engineer for a long-term contract in Redmond, WA. The role focuses on diagnosing broadband network issues, performing root-cause analysis, and coordinating with NOC and engineering teams to resolve incidents.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise with Layer 2/3 technologies, BGP/OSPF, and packet-analysis tools, plus a track record of supporting production networks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in network engineering/operations or support.
• Hands-on L2/L3 production network troubleshooting.
• Strong TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, ARP, DHCP, DNS knowledge.
• Experience with BGP and OSPF/IS-IS.
• Familiarity with VRFs, NAT/CGNAT, QoS.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot production network issues (connectivity, latency, packet loss).
• Investigate L2 techs: Ethernet, VLANs, QinQ, ARP, STP.
• Troubleshoot L3: IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, VRFs, DHCP, DNS, NAT.
• Analyze captures, logs, alarms, interface counters, routing tables.
• Use CLI tools and monitoring platforms to isolate faults.
• Investigate subscriber connectivity, IP assignment, CGNAT, reachability.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring incidents.
• Collaborate with NOC, engineering, operations, vendors.
• Support upgrades, migrations, maintenance, launches.
• Maintain troubleshooting docs and SOPs.
